Zaakile Village is a grassroots organization providing childbearing families with the resources, information and support they need to care for and nurture their babies. Our mission is to introduce and promote natural and wholistic birthing and parenting practices to families regardless of their race, education or socioeconomic status. Our Vision is to normalize traditional and holistic care as an alternative to common medical practices.

For the third year in a row, Sista Midwife Productions will be partnering with Zaakile Village to create this FREE community event. The purpose of the Watoto Festival is to provide a safe and fun way for families’ to celebrate their young children; a place to be educated and entertained.

The Watoto Festival will provide free information and community resources to promote and support healthy and holistic parenting practices. The Watoto Festival will include vendors, games, music, story time, live entertainment, door prizes and more. This community event will be geared to families who are planning a pregnancy, are currently pregnant and/or are parenting children aged 4 years old and younger
